Our tester has shed some light on Audi’s latest-tech Matrix LED headlights
Our A6 might have fancy extras such as the Technology, plus Comfort and Sound packs, which enrich any drive in this big Audi estate.
Yet, one of the pieces of equipment that impresses me the most is the headlights and they are standard fit! What’s so clever about these headlights – which are the latest Matrix LED type – is that in auto full-beam mode, the camera above the rear-view mirror detects head and rear lights, dimming the 24 small lighting diodes (12 per light), where needed.
The result is brighter lights for longer; very useful for late-night, cross-country drives.
