Škoda has announced prices and final specification for the new Kodiaq vRS – the most powerful diesel production vRS model ever built by the brand – as it opens order books.

Debuted at the Paris Motor Show in October and marked out as the first SUV to get the vRS treatment, the flagship Kodiaq is priced from £42,870 OTR and is powered by a 240hp twin turbocharged 2.0 TDI engine with standard four-wheel-drive system and seven-speed DSG gearbox. This means it can sprint from 0-62mph in 7.0 seconds and has a top speed of 136mph.

The seven-seater model brings styling details including 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss black finish on the grille and mirrors, dual exhaust pipes, vRS sports bumpers and red brake calipers.

Interior features include Alcantara-trimmed sports seats with vRS stitching and logo, along with a black roof lining and vRS stitching for the door panels.

The vRS is also the first Škoda to be offered with fully digital Virtual Cockpit display as standard and also gets Dynamic Chassis Control and progressive steering as standard.

First deliveries are expected in the UK in early spring.
