Leon and Ateca drive 50% rise in Seat true fleet sales
Seat true fleet sales grew by nearly 50% in 2017 while also expanding its overall fleet sales despite the industry downturn.
SEAT Ateca (shown) and Leon are credited with the companies growth in 2017
The brand recorded true fleet sales of 14,783 units last year – up 49.4% and marking its best-ever results – while its overall fleet registrations grew 33.7% to 31,951 units; again a new record. This compares to the 4.5% downturn in fleet registrations across the UK new car market.
The increase came despite the brand recording a 23.7% reduction in registrations to short-cycle rentals.
Growth was driven by the Leon and the 2016 launch of the Ateca large crossover – the brand’s first SUV.
Latest launches at Seat include the new Arona crossover and Ibiza while the carmaker has also expanded its four-day test drive scheme and launched a TCO comparator tool powered by Cap HPI on Seat’s new-look website.
