Taking place on 24 January at Arval’s office in Swindon – the location of a major UK trial into hydrogen fleet cars – the event will see the firm’s Paul Marchment give the latest on the trial while Clare Jackson of Ecuity Consulting will also speak on the Swindon Hydrogen Hub.

Other key speakers include John Hunt of Toyota on motor manufacturer progress in developing hydrogen cars, while Jayson Whittington of Glass’s will provide a general update on the overall new and used car sector, the impact of alternative fuel vehicles on the industry, and will lead market discussion from a defleet, remarketing and retail perspective.

Glenn Sturley, chair at the VRA, said: “There is a lot of curiosity in the remarketing sector about hydrogen vehicles. They certainly do appear to promise a highly attractive alternative to the fuel types currently available in the medium-longer term.”

The meeting will also look in detail at the latest developments in the UK remarketing sector.

Sturley added: “2018 is set to be a very eventful year and we expect to fulfil an even more important than usual role for our members in helping to keep them as well informed as possible.”
