Scutum FPG to deploy Teletrac Navman across mixed fleet

Teletrac Navman has been awarded the deal to provide telematics across the mixed fleet run by Scutum FPG.

FPG chose Teletrac Navman on the basis of peer-to-peer recommendations

The specialist supplier of fire and security solutions runs a 70-strong fleet and chose Teletrac Navman’s DIRECTOR platform following multiple recommendations from other customers.

The new solution will increase the firm’s daily visibility of its fleet through dynamic vehicle tracking, enhance safety measures – particularly benefiting FPG’s many lone workers – and minimise costs, in particular rising insurance premiums.

The solution will also provide privacy buttons to distinguish between business and private mileage for the mixed fleet.

Fire Protection Group’s fleet manager David Armstrong commented: “This investment will transform the way we manage driver behaviour and the overall safety of our fleet, by giving us greater visibility and the provision to devise and implement a formal driver training programme.

“We’ve been particularly impressed by the aftercare from our appointed customer success specialist, who has ensure we can hit the ground running through smooth planning and implementation of the new technology, as well as training to make sure it extracts as much value from the solution as possible.”

Scott Hutchins, UK VP sales at Teletrac Navman, also commented on the deal: “As a business that’s committed to all aspects of health and safety for its workforce, clients and the general public, Fire Protection Group was seeking a solution that reflected this ethos, and our offering was a natural fit for its requirements. The business, which hasn’t previously embraced telematics, came to us following several peer-to-peer recommendations, demonstrating that we have a track-record for delivering exceptional customer service and maximum results.”
