ICFM reports record turnout for ‘Fleet 2020’ Conference

The 23rd ICFM conference also saw attendees gain valuable insight into what fleet may look like in five years from six experts on the ‘in-dialogue ‘Fleet 2020’ panel session.

Chairman of the ICFM, Paul Hollick commented: “It was excellent to see a packed-out conference centre. We had a record number of members attending as well as other leading lights of our industry. The post event feedback from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive and delegates went away pumped up by what they had learned from each of the entertaining sessions. Motivated by Sally Gunnell OBE; in awe of the breadth of development projects at Williams Advanced Engineering; informed by the thought-provoking in-dialogue session; entertained by Charley Boorman and proud to recognise the achievements of our 2015 awardees.

“Our thanks go to our famous guest speakers, Sally Gunnell and Charley Boorman, to Paul McNamara, technical director at Williams Advanced Engineering and the panellists on our in-dialogue session ‘The Landscape Today – Fleet 2020’.

“These included Robin Hayles, sustainable fuel development manager at Hyundai, speaking on OEM fuel cell technology developments; Howard Cox, founder of FairFuelUK on the on-going public campaign to challenge fuel costs; Hugh Boyes of the University of Warwick, leading specialist on cyber security on the potential risks around big data; Kerry-Ann Adamson CEO of Fourth Wave Energy on fuel cell technology for car and home and the changing world; Phil Stones, head of vehicle emissions and fuel economy at Millbrook on real life emissions and fuel consumption testing; and Ben Creswick, business development director at FMG, talking about technological advances in incident management.”
