Fleets recognised for EV uptake in LowCVP shortlist

The LowCVP has announced the shortlist for two more categories of the 2017 Low Carbon Champions Awards, which sees fleet operators and industry suppliers recognised for their work in championing ULEVs.

Fleets recognised for EV uptake in LowCVP shortlist

Possible candidates for the Low Carbon Vehicle Operator of the Year title include London Borough of Hackney, which is recognised for introducing EVs with supporting off-street charging. Other shortlisted candidates include logistics firm Martin Brower UK for its use of used cooking oil-based biodiesel and TfL/Go-Ahead London for starting the first two all-electric bus routes in central London.

In addition the shortlist for the Low Carbon Fuel Initiative of the Year includes Chargemaster for its Ultracharge project to install public rapid chargers across the UK and ITM Power for building four publicly accessible hydrogen refuelling stations. The shortlist also includes CNG Fuels Ltd and RoadGas Ltd.
The awards will be presented at a gala dinner in Birmingham on the evening of Wednesday 11 October.
