Volkswagen Financial Services – Fleet expands corporate sales team

The firm, which offers a portfolio of fleet products and services and is able to supply cars and commercial vehicles from across all manufacturers, has appointed David Rae from Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles. Rae will to grow the corporate fleet customer base in the Scottish region.

He commented: “I am looking forward to working with a friendly open group of people who are all striving towards being the best leasing company in the UK.”

Matthew Terry joins the business to manage the North East region. He was previously at Zenith, where he looked after blue-chip clients. He recently completed the BVRLA ‘Professional Fleet Consultant Development Programme’ passing with Distinction.

Matthew Terry said: “Even though it’s part of one of the world’s biggest automotive and financial companies, VWFS – Fleet still has huge potential to further develop its brand and become the leading fleet supplier. I am really looking forward to being a part of its continuing growth.”

The South East region will now be managed by Nick Press, who brings with him over 11 years’ experience in the motor trade industry.  He was previously at Mercedes Benz where he was previously awarded the Business Development Manager of the Year 2014 title.

Finally, James Watson will be responsible for the South including the management of six sales managers. He joins the business from Volkswagen Passenger Cars and has also worked for the Fiat Group and LeasePlan, where he gained experience working with large fleets of up to 5,000 vehicles.

Watson said of VWFS – Fleet: “There is enormous opportunity for the business as it can offer market leading solutions for all types of fleet customers. In addition, it has the provenance of being part of a global group of companies that brings with it sustainability and innovation.”
