SMA ViewItNow is an exclusive SMA service that is initially available on selected stock. Would-be buyers simply click on the ViewItNow link on the SMA website to view and hear a 360º review of their chosen car externally and internally, voiced over by one of SMA trained assessors.

The firm says its new service ensures that buyers can make a buying decision from their computer screen.

'We are determined to leverage the opportunities offered by technology to help our buyers and sellers. What we are successfully demonstrating is that we can take time and cost out of the used car distribution process,' said SMA Vehicle Remarketing group MD Bob Anderson.

He adds that the service also provides information on all known vehicle faults in line with SMA's commitment to transparency and integrity.

'Buyers know exactly what they can expect when the car is delivered and can even ask our in-house Technical Services team to rectify any repairs that are required to ensure their chosen car is in showroom ready condition. As with all our on-line services, if the vehicle is not as described on delivery, then is can simply be retuned and the transaction will be cancelled,' explained Mr Anderson. 

'The product has gone down well with buyers across the UK in its first week of launch, as Mr Anderson notes: 'What we are seeing is a whole new audience coming to our auctions. Our online offering is growing exponentially and at the same time our auction centres are experiencing record levels of traffic. Buyers and sellers like our fresh and energetic approach to re-marketing; we are working hard to make it easier for buyers to get the stock they want when they need it.'
