Skoda secures best-ever April fleet sales

The carmaker registered 1,770 fleet vehicles in April 2016 – up from 1,615 in the same month last year – and achieved an all-time high market share of 3.9% for the month.

The carmaker said the growth was driven by sales of the new Superb and followed an exceptional first quarter. Between January and March, Skoda secured 4,477 fleet registrations – an 8% increase on 2015.

Last month also saw the carmaker take the title of best upper medium model at the 2016 Fleet World honours. It also revealed the name for its forthcoming large SUV, which is to be targeted at senior-level company car drivers.

Henry Williams, head of fleet for Skoda UK, commented: “We’re thrilled to announce this has been the best-ever April for Skoda UK’s fleet operation. Our outstanding models, coupled with our compelling financial offerings, make Skoda an obvious choice for fleet managers, large and small businesses, and user choosers – and our record sales are testament to that.”
