Škoda drives public sector fleet sales with new framework

Škoda UK has secured a place on a new government Framework agreement, further boosting its public sector fleet sales.

Škoda’s blue light fleet line-up includes the Enyaq iV electric SUV

The carmaker has been awarded a place on the new Vehicle Purchase Framework from Crown Commercial Service (CCS), enabling its use by public sector bodies in key sectors such as central government, health and local government as well as the UK emergency services.

CCS is the largest public sector procurement organisation in the UK and Škoda expects to deliver some 6,000 cars to the UK public sector over the four-year partnership, including to the police, ambulance, and fire and rescue services.

Škoda UK’s emergency services sales have increased 40% since 2018, thanks to its reliability, value and aftersales service.

But the brand’s background in supporting the emergency services dates back to 1906 with its Voiturette Ambulance. Its current line-up for the emergency services includes the Karoq SUV rapid response vehicle, a modified Fabia for police fleets and a blue light version of the Kodiaq large SUV. Its Enyaq iV electric SUV is also available to blue-light fleets, offering a range of up to 333 mile s and helping operators achieve sustainability targets without compromising on performance or ability.

Nick O’Neill, Škoda head of direct sales, said: “There is a focus for frontline public services to drive efficiencies for both time and cost. We have worked effectively with government bodies over the past decade to ensure that we meet their requirements and provide a reliable service. I look forward to continuing this partnership over the next four years.”

Škoda’s ‘one-stop’ shop package provides a bespoke package for emergency service fleets, including finance solutions, conversions to suit specific requirements, breakdown recovery, service, maintenance and repair.
