Sign Language gears up for 50% business increase in 2015

Last year saw the firm double its turnover to £1.8m and the company is forecasting a further 50% increase in business in 2015, with contract wins already in the pipeline from owned fleets as well as with leasing and rental company clients.

The latest growth comes on the back of the firm’s fast-growing company car, van and truck work. Sign Language recently announced a major new contract with Network Rail and during 2014 it also won major contracts with Autoglass and Euro Car Parts.

In recent weeks the company has won deals to supply vehicle livery to, among others, UK-wide electrical wholesale network City Electrical Factors, the Galashiels-based Scottish Borders Housing Association and Coventry-based Whitefriars Housing Association.

The company also continues to work with other major clients including Travelodge, UK Mail and Zipcar. Additionally, Sign Language has become a preferred supplier to a number of the UK’s leading vehicle leasing and fleet management companies including: Lex Autolease, LeasePlan UK, Arval, Activa Contracts and ARI Fleet UK. Sign Language also works directly with a number of vehicle conversion specialists such as Fleetshield and Tevo and dealerships including Ford Retail and Citroen Coventry.

Sign Language managing director Tobin Jenkins said: ‘2014 saw a sea-change in the size of the business and that is a reflection of the many initiatives we have implemented to gear ourselves up to meet the requirements of the fleet market.'

Those initiatives include the duplicate “repair kit” stocking of vehicle wrapping and livery on a panel-by-panel basis for clients to cut vehicle downtime following a crash, an online facility enabling same-day delivery if livery is ordered before 1pm or delivered the following day if later and a consultative approach to new business opportunities delivering an added value focus for fleet customers supported by first-class products and service.

During 2014 Sign Language increased the size of its Oxfordshire headquarters by 70% with the acquisition of an adjoining business unit to enable expansion to continue.

Managing director Tobin Jenkins said: ‘2014 was a significant year in the history of Sign Language, but 2015 promises to be even better as we continue to establish ourselves as a leading supplier of livery and vehicle wrapping to fleets.’
