Rivus updates vehicle check app to drive safety and compliance

Rivus Fleet Solutions has updated its Vehicle Check App to enable “industry-leading” levels of control over vehicle safety and compliance for customers.

The updated vehicle check app is available to all Rivus customers as part of their fleet management solutions

The app links data from walkaround vehicle checks with a user-friendly portal where all the data collected can be analysed and interrogated for better decision-making.

It was first launched two and half years ago, primarily for the BT and Openreach fleets, but following BT Fleet Solutions’ acquisition by Aurelius and rebrand to Rivus, it’s being made available to all Rivus customers as part of their fleet management solutions.

Key updates of the enhanced app include integration with the Qlik business intelligence software. This enables access to the portal to be set up for anyone in the business and data is presented through the Qlik business intelligence interface, giving at-a-glance insight into safety and compliance thanks to simple dashboards and tables. Standout information is automatically highlighted and alerts can be set up to notify users when trigger points are hit.

The app also offers enhanced security and a new Rivus-branded look and feel.

The enhancements to the Vehicle Check App form part of a broader series of IT-related changes as Rivus completes the migration of its systems away from former parent company BT. This will be finalised by November, meaning that all Rivus’ systems will soon be wholly managed in-house, providing greater control and flexibility.

Our application is designed to automate the legacy process of manual defect reporting, and provide the driver with a simple, easy-to-use app.”

The way the data is captured, recorded and presented is designed to suit all stakeholders – from a driver who may need to present evidence at a roadside check through to management looking to ensure vehicle and driver safety across the fleet.”
