RAC launches fuel card as part of new SME Business Club initiative

Forming the first component of the forthcoming SME-focused RAC Business Club, the RAC Business Club Fuel Card offers up to 45 days’ credit, more than double the terms of most other fuel cards on the market.

The card is also set to offer card holders access to a nationwide network of over 2,000 outlets, all of which have been chosen to help drivers fill up at lower-priced fuel providers.

The RAC’s head of operations development Dan Sparks said: ‘Cost is always going to be a significant reason to choose a fuel card, however, SME business owners and fleet managers are more knowledgeable than ever when it comes to what is available and what suits their business needs.

‘We aim to give more control and convenience with a closed national network to help drivers use lower priced supermarket forecourts as often as possible. And by giving up to 45 days’ credit we can help SMEs maintain optimal cash flow – something that is increasingly important in the current economic climate.’

The RAC Business Club Fuel Card also provides the convenience of instant, free access to an online fleet management dashboard that gives fleet managers 24/7 access and full insight into their fuel usage.

The dashboard allows management of all fuel expenses in one place, generating a single monthly invoice, reduces paperwork and takes the headache out of managing fuel costs.
