Prices announced for new Jeep Wrangler

Jeep has announced pricing and specifications for the fourth-generation Wrangler, which is on sale now.

The fourth-generation Jeep Wrangler

Developed as a true off-roader with all-American styling, the new Jeep – see road test here – is priced from £44,865 OTR and is offered in three trims: Sahara, Overland and Rock-Trac. Two four-wheel drive systems are available, depending on the trim: Command-Trac, on the Sahara and Overland trim level, and Rock-Trac, standard on Rubicon trim. Both systems feature the new Selec-Trac full-time two-speed transfer case for a continuous monitoring and management of the torque sent to front and rear wheels.

Engine line-up covers two new units – the 200hp 2.2-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel and the 272hp 2.0-litre turbocharged in-line four-cylinder petrol, both of which are married up to a new eight-speed automatic transmission.

Equipment includes an 8.4-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto while driver assistance features including blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and reversing camera.

It also offers various top combinations, including the Sky One-Touch powertop, new Zipperless Premium Sunrider soft top and the Freedom Top removable, three-panel hard top.

Buyers can also specify Jeep’s 5-3-5 offer, which consists of a five-year warranty, a three-year servicing programme, plus five years’ roadside assistance.
