Nissan fleet team reorg to drive EV ambitions

Nissan has made a number of changes to its fleet management team as it looks to further drive its ambition to be the leader in electric vehicle sales to UK fleets.

Nissan was the UK’s second biggest supplier of battery electric vehicles (including cars and light commercial vehicles) into the True Fleet market and the biggest supplier of battery electric light commercials in 2020

In 2020, Nissan was the UK’s second biggest supplier of battery electric vehicles (including cars and vans) into the True Fleet market and the biggest supplier of battery electric light commercials, according to newly published figures.

The brand also said it’s signing new deals involving the Leaf electric car and e-NV200 electric van on a regular basis, with organisations in both the private and public sectors.

The role changes will further support this and see Andrea Patti, Liz Redmayne and Alex Edmond join the team from other roles within Nissan, reporting to fleet director Peter McDonald.

Under the changes, Andrea Patti becomes Nissan’s new national corporate sales manager and will be responsible for all corporate and key account activity across the team. This includes the provision of aftersales support to customers and the management of relationships with LCV converters.

Patti moves from his previous position as commercial vehicle category manager and brings extensive experience in the LCV market, also including several senior positions with the FCA Group.

In addition, Liz Redmayne is promoted from her role as a corporate sales manager to a specially created position as national leasing and rental manager.

In her previous role, Redmayne managed relationships with a number of key account holders such as DPD and the National Grid. Before joining Nissan, she held positions at Volkswagen, Jaguar Land Rover and Inchcape Fleet Solutions, now rebranded as Kinto.

Finally, Alex Edmond is appointed fleet operations manager, moving from his previous position as fleet campaign deployment manager, a position he has occupied for two of his five years with Nissan. His promotion will see him become responsible for fleet strategy and marketing and his experience in financial campaign reporting, analytics and deployment will certainly prove useful. He will retain some responsibilities in those areas while assuming broader control of fleet operations within Nissan.

Peter McDonald, Nissan fleet director, said: “I couldn’t be more pleased to introduce these new faces to the fleet management team. They all have significant experience with both the Nissan brand and our fleet operation, and I am confident they will add immense value and help Nissan to deliver on its ambitions.’’
