The new estate models – that form part of a 200-strong fleet of track, safety, security and catering vehicles – have specialist medical refrigeration boxes installed as well as light bars and sirens fitted.

The Focus estates were chosen following specialist advice from JCT600 VLS, based on cost effectiveness, load space and the required electrics in the back to power a fridge for medical supplies.

The racing circuit has already taken delivery of 39 vehicles including 21 Mitsubishi L200 pick-up trucks, two refrigerated Renault vans, one Ford Focus and 15 Renault Master vans and Renault Kangoo Maxi vans.

Lindsay Francis, customer service director at JCT600 VLS, added: “Sourcing vehicles for bespoke purposes can be a challenge but it is one we thrive on. We always aim to go the extra mile for our customers to ensure every vehicle we provide is best suited for its purpose.”

Lee Thomas, procurement and contracts manager for Silverstone Circuits said: “Our relationship with JCT600 VLS is excellent. They are friendly, knowledgeable and provide efficient customer service; always going the extra mile.”
