Lexus is making its 4.8 litre V10 LFA super car, which can sprint from 0-62mph in a staggering 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 202mph, available for the lucky winner of the competition, who will be announced live at the Fleet World Fleet Show at Silverstone on Wednesday 24th April.

The superb prize has been provided by competition sponsors, Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services, and will also recognise the competition’s runner-up, who will be rewarded with a place in the passenger seat as a pro-driver shows what the LFA can do around Silverstone’s internationally renowned three-mile track.

‘This will be an amazing experience for the winner of the Fleet Driver of the Year competition and the runner-up is not forgotten as well. We are extremely grateful to Lexus for making the car available,’ said event organiser and managing editor of Fleet World, Ross Durkin.

The competition has been organised by ALD Automotive in conjunction with driver training specialists, Peak Performance, and has attracted entries from all around the UK.

The competition and the Lexus super car are not the only fleet attractions of the Show, which features some of the very latest new car launches, including a number that will be making their UK debuts. They will be available for driving on the Grand Prix and Stowe circuits and on test-drive routes in the surrounding countryside.

The new vehicles form just part of a 200-model line-up from 21 manufacturers that will provide fleet decision makers with an excellent opportunity to properly assess their capabilities for their fleets.

And the Fleet World Fleet Show also includes exhibits from a number of leading fleet service suppliers and providers and an extensive fleet seminar programme as well as a “Question Time” style panel discussion session where delegates will be able to question a panel of specially selected guests on a wide range of fleet topics.

The culmination of the conference programme will be a Fleet and Mobility Workshop, chaired by Nigel Trotman, head of strategic consultancy at international leasing company, Alphabet, where leading academic, Professor Peter Cooke, will be one of the keynote presenters.
