Sited in the centre of Newport – the Isle of Wight’s largest town – and close to its biggest businesses, the new branch will offer residents and organisations access to an extensive fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles through a range of daily, weekly and longer term programmes.

The news follows the announcement last week that Enterprise has acquired commercial vehicle provider Burnt Tree.

Paul Smith, general manager of Enterprise in the South of England, said: ‘The Isle of Wight is an exciting next step for Enterprise. Locating here not only brings new and existing customers a greater choice for travel, it also helps connect the island to our existing customer base on the mainland. We hope that our rental service will help encourage tourists to visit and enhance their experience of the island.

‘We look forward to meeting customers at our new branch and hope to play a part in boosting the local economy.’

This new site adds to Enterprise’s growing network of more than 370 locations throughout the UK.
