Effective from October 2021 production, the line-up gets a pair of Euro 6.3-compliant 2.2-litre, four-cylinder turbo diesel engines, replacing the previous Euro 6.2 units and bringing CO2 emission reductions of up to 9g/km.

The BlueHDi 120 produces 120hp and 311Nm of torque. The more powerful BlueHDi 140 puts out 140hp and 340Nm of torque. And both feature Stop & Start (S&S) technology.

Standard equipment has also been updated for the Relay, which is available as a panel van, crew van or a window van and available in X, Enterprise and Driver trims, depending on model. For X panel van versions, cruise control with programmable speed limiter is now standard while a 12V socket is now fitted to the load area across all panel van models. Further enhancements to the interior include a new USB charging socket on the dashboard of Enterprise and Driver versions, both of which also gain a dashboard tablet computer holder for working on the go.

Other additions include an alarm and deadlocks on entry-level X versions in line with the rest of the Relay range, as well as a lower central glovebox and electrical connections interface box on all window van versions.

The line-up also includes the ë-Relay Electric, launched in May 2021 and positioned above the smaller ë-Dispatch medium van and the forthcoming ë-Berlingo Van in the brand’s e-LCV line-up. It’s available with two battery packs – a 37kWh version with a WLTP range of 73 miles, or a larger 70kWh unit with up to 139 miles of range. Both are capable of a 0-80% charge in one hour from a 50kW rapid charger.

The 2022 Citroën Relay LCV range is available to order now. Prices start from £26,655 (basic MRRP excl. VAT) while the ë-Relay Electric is priced at £59,750 (basic MRRP incl. PiVG excl. VAT.)
