New technologies on offer include driving aids covering Active Safety Brake autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, hill start assist, reversing camera, and keyless entry and start. The C1 also introduces the Speed Sign Recognition and Recommendation system while Mirror Screen compatibility has been enhanced, covering Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink and accessed via the seven-inch touchscreen.

The C1 also gains the VTi 72 three-cylinder petrol also seen in the Aygo. This unit – the only engine in the C1 – meets the Euro 6.2 standards, and will be available with a five-speed manual and ETG gearbox.

Other changes include slight styling updates and the introduction of two special editions.
