CD Auction Group branches into logistics services for fleets

Online auction firm CD Auction Group has expanded to offer a new app-based logistics service that enables fleets to manage all their transport moves and administration via a single platform.

CD Auction Group said its new logistics service has the power to reduce costs significantly for fleets

Developed in partnership with automotive technology company Reemaq, the app manages end-to-end transport moves using a network of plated drivers, transporters and inspect and collect services.

The national network, which is audited, provides access to suppliers who bid for each move based on the best time and cost. All types of vehicle movement are covered, from a single vehicle to transporters, and the app provides complete transparency of all moves in real-time, with a comprehensive view of the workflow, full reporting and a clear breakdown of costs.

CD Auction, one of the UK’s first digital-only auction companies, said it was growing its range of digital channels to support the industry and added that the new service will bring a number of benefits to operators.

Andy Pearce, operations director of CD Auction Group, commented: “As digital remarketing experts, we are always looking for new ways to use technology to make operations more efficient for our customers. The new Reemaq Moves service will drive down overall delivery costs and improve service.”

He added: “Our new logistics service has the power to reduce costs significantly. Modelling suggests some customers will save hundreds of pounds for load movements and benefit from reduced administration thanks to automated and integrated systems combined with one point of contact.”
