BUDGET 2011: VED rates to increase in line with inflation

Under the changes, vehicles in bands E (131g/km-140g/km) and F (141g/km-150g/km) attract a £5 increase in the standard rate.

Standard-rate VED for vehicles in bands G (151g/km-165g/km), H (166g/km-175g/km), I (176g/km-185g/km) and J (186g/km-200g/km) will go up by £10 per year.

Cars with 201g/km-225g/km (band K) will see standard-rate VED go up by £20, while there will be a £25 increase for cars in band L (226g/km-255g/km) and £25 for cars in band M (over 255g/km).

First-year rates also see similar increases and now rise up to £1,000 for vehicles in band M.
