Bolt ride-hailing service launches in Leicester

Bolt has expanded its ride-hailing app to cover the Leicester area.

The Bolt ride-hailing service has been designed to offer safe and affordable rides as restrictions start to ease, with the guarantee of being 100% carbon-neutral

Already operating in London and Peterborough, the service now expands to Leicester under Bolt’s UK expansion plan, and will arrive in more cities across the country in the coming months.

The service has been designed to offer safe and affordable rides as restrictions start to ease, with the guarantee of being 100% carbon-neutral. Bolt is also planning to build what’s said to be the UK’s first carbon-neutral bus station.

Sam Raciti, general manager – UK at Bolt, said: “As lockdown lifts, we’re so excited to bring Bolt to Leicester. With the city working hard on its sustainability, having recently received a £25m boost for a carbon-reduction programme, Leicester is a natural home for Bolt’s safe, easy and affordable approach to transport.”
