AFP deepens committee expertise with latest appointments

The Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) has made a raft of new committee appointments, deepening its expertise across all areas.

National grid fleet manager Lorna McAtear has joined the AFP board

Lorna McAtear, fleet manager at the National Grid, has joined the AFP board. She brings a longstanding career in the fleet sector, including roles at E.On and Royal Mail.

Malcolm Maycock of the Licence Bureau and Steve Roper of the Prudential join the Risk, Compliance and Health Committee.

Matt Dale of ALD and Debbie Fox of Epyx are now part of the Future Mobility Steering Committee and Alex Hull of Zenith and Natasha Patel of Baringa have joined the Future Roads Committee.

Finally, Russ Boulton of ALD has become a member of the LCV Committee, while Craig Logan of Vodafone is now sitting on the EV, Low Carbon and Alternative Fuels Committee.

AFP chair Paul Hollick said: “Since their formation around a year ago, the AFP’s committees have been playing a crucial role in discussing important issues facing fleets and formulating advice and strategy, with recent output including our well-received AFP Tax Manifesto.

“Having high-quality professionals involved is an essential part of this process, so we’d like to very much welcome these latest recruits. They all bring an impressive degree of expertise to our organisation and, we are sure, will make very useful contributions to our conversations over the coming months and years.”

He added: “I would especially like to warmly welcome Lorna to the AFP board. Her skills, network and knowledge within our industry are superb and she will significantly strengthen the good team we already have. She has been a lead player within the two AFP committees with which she has been involved and we are delighted to that she has agreed to step up.”
