Academy Pro Leasing signs up Airmax Remote as telematics partner

Academy Pro Leasing has appointed Airmax Remote to provide telematics solutions for its fleet of around 1,000 vehicles.

Kevin Rodgers, head of lease and rental at Academy Pro Leasing

The leasing firm provides flexible hire vehicles for people with a poor credit score and businesses operating fleets of up to 1,000 vehicles and will initially use Airmax Remote’s asset management service telematics solution to record the location of vehicles and prevent theft – helping to secure residual values at the vehicles’ end of life on the hire fleet.

But the partnership with Airmax Remote will expand over the forthcoming months to include a range of additional solutions as the Academy Pro Leasing business grows.

The initial services will provide additional security for the underwriting of those drivers considered a higher risk. The primary service delivered by Airmax Remote will be to provide conventional stolen vehicle recovery services with support from its UK call centre to aid recovery and to monitor locations to ensure vehicles stay within the UK.

In addition, Airmax Remote will provide full training to Academy Pro Leasing’s technicians who will fit the OBD device to the vehicles as part of the track and trace solution.

As well as providing track and trace solutions, Airmax Remote specialises in providing integrated vehicle telematics services to corporate fleets, leasing and contract hire providers and emergency services, using easy-install black box tech to enable an insight-led approach to fleet management.

Kevin Rodgers, head of lease and rental at Academy Pro Leasing, said: “Having worked closely with Airmax Remote previously, it was an obvious choice to join forces again using their British-engineered technology to help keep our assets safe and enabling the business to offer the best customer service whilst driving down cost.”
