Volkswagen slashes price on e-Golf

Volkswagen has cut the price of its e-Golf by nearly £3k in a move to enhance its ‘value offering’.

The price drop equates to an £27,575 price tag after the Government’s Plug-In Car Grant

The price revision means the all-electric hatchback now costs £31,075 OTR, which equates to £27,575 after the Government’s Plug-In Car Grant.

First introduced in 2014 and facelifted in 2017, the e-Golf – which will be joined by VW’s ID.3 electric hatchback in 2020 – offers a WLTP-certified 144-mile range (WLTP certified) along with 136hp and 533Nm of torque.

Fleets can also try out the e-Golf for themselves under 48-hour test drives, available on this model since mid-2019.
