TomTom launches Speed Camera app for Android phones

Available to download from the Google Play Store, the app offers alerts based on TomTom’s extensive coverage of fixed speed cameras. App users will automatically get camera reports shared by more than 3.4 million TomTom drivers, and will also receive an update every minute, with upcoming mobile speed cameras based on the latest information from TomTom.

‘We believe that a journey is far more enjoyable when you know what is up ahead,’ says Corinne Vigreux, managing director for TomTom Consumer. ‘Our new Speed Cameras app gives Android smartphone users extra peace of mind and helps them avoid speeding fines. By becoming part of the TomTom driving community, app users will also benefit from the input of millions of other motorists on the road.’

Drivers can download the app from the Google Play Store for a free three-month trial. After the trial period, subscriptions can be purchased for ₤1.99 per month or ₤15.49 per year.
