Revealed this summer, the upgraded sister models get a series of design enhancements, new interior concepts and elevated levels of equipment, plus new 1.0 TSI engines.

The new Scala, the brand’s rival to the Golf, is priced from £22,095 and gains styling changes, including updated grille and front bumper. The optional extended rear glass window stretches all the way to the tail lights, while the rear bumper has been redesigned and the tailgate lettering reflects the new, updated Škoda corporate identity.

The interior adopts the interior concepts first seen on the Enyaq range with Loft, Lodge and Monte Carlo design selections, dependent on grade.

The Scala is available in three trims – SE, SE L and Monte Carlo. The entry-level SE features 16-inch alloy wheels, 8.25-inch infotainment display, wireless Smartlink, full LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, 8.0-inch digital display and dual-zone climate control. Also included are keyless start/stop, four USB-C fast charging ports and rear parking sensors, along with Simply Clever features such as a 12V socket in the boot, phone pockets on the rear of the front seat backs and a boot net package.

The Scala SE L starts from £23,895 and adds in larger 17-inch alloy wheels, a bigger 9.2-inch navigation display, chrome window surround and rear privacy glass. Customers also gain a Virtual Cockpit with 10.25-inch display, ambient lighting in red and white and a rear centre armrest.

The top-rung Monte Carlo starts from £27,795 and features 18-inch black brushed alloy wheels and full LED Matrix headlights with adaptive front light system and cornering function and dynamic indicators. Monte Carlo models also come with a panoramic sunroof with extended tailgate glass, rear view camera, black door mirrors, radiator grille and lettering on boot lid. Drive mode select with Sport Chassis Control is standard.

Three engine options will be available from launch, with power outputs ranging from 95hp to 150hp. The top-end 150hp 1.5 TSI unit is unchanged and can be specified with a seven-speed DSG gearbox or a six-speed manual, but both 1.0 TSI engines are now from Škoda’s more efficient Evo2 generation. The entry-level 1.0 TSI delivers 95hp while the higher output variant now delivers 116hp – up 6hp from the previous unit. Full economy and efficiency data is yet to be published and will be announced in early 2024.

The updated Kamiq is priced from £24,030 and also gets a revised design package that uses an updated grille, new headlights that have the option of full LED Matrix technology for the first time, revised front and rear bumpers and updated tailgate lettering. It also employs the new Loft, Lodge and Monte Carlo design selections and latest sustainable materials seen in the Scala.

As with the Scala, it uses the brand’s familiar SE, SE L and Monte Carlo trims, which broadly replicate the equipment upgrades seen in its sister model. The SE is priced from £24,030, rising to £27,175 for the SE L and £29,275 for the Kamiq Monte Carlo. Engine options are the same as the Scala line-up.

Retail ordering for the Scala and Kamiq ranges opens on 3 October while business and fleet customer orders open from early 2024. First deliveries are expected in the second quarter of 2024.
