Road Safety Week 2022 to focus on ‘Safe Roads For All’ theme

Brake has revealed details for the 2022 Road Safety Week, which will focus on creating ‘Safe Roads for All’.

This year’s Road Safety Week takes place between 14 and 20 November

This year’s initiative takes place between 14 and 20 November and will highlight everyone’s right to make safe and healthy journeys on our roads.

The 2022 campaign will raise awareness of key areas of road safety, including safe vehicles and speeds, the recent update to the Highway Code and the new hierarchy of road users, and the importance of inclusivity to keep us all safe on the roads.

The theme, which underscores the safe system approach to road safety, supports government work on safe, healthy and sustainable mobility, including more active travel.

Road safety stakeholders, including fleets, community groups, the police, government and schools, are all being invited to get onboard with this year’s campaign to support the work.

Each specific audience focus will have a designated campaign day to highlight the breadth of people, organisations and community groups who use our roads. The Day of Road Safety for businesses, employers and fleets will be held on Friday 18 November 2022.

Businesses already onboard include DHL Supply Chain and Arval UK, which will help to put safer mobility for everyone under the spotlight and raise awareness of the recent changes to the Highway Code.
