Renault Kadjar gets new petrol engine and CVT gearbox

The new TCe 165, 163bhp turbo-charged petrol, joins the existing entry-level 1.2-litre TCe 130 and brings emissions and NEDC combined fuel economy of 134g/km and 47.1mpg, with a 9.2-second 0-60mph time and top speed of 127mph.

The new unit is available to order now from Dynamique Nav trim level upwards with prices starting from £22,915 OTR.

In addition, a new Auto X-Tronic CVT gearbox is now available for the dCi 130 diesel engine. Also offered from Dynamique Nav trim upwards and priced from £26,015 (OTR), the transmission brings CO2 emissions as low as 123g/km and official combined fuel economy of 58.9mpg (NEDC). The unit is expected to have some take-up on fleets but isn’t as expected to be as popular for fleets as the transmission with dCi110 engine.

The new engine and gearbox launch alongside a new hands free keycard with walkaway functionality and start UK deliveries later this month.
