Renault Captur to boast impressive RVs

The first compact crossover from the French marquee is expected to hold onto 43% of its value over three years/60,000 miles for the Expression+ 1.5 dCi 90 model – matching the current class leader in this respect, the MINI Countryman.

Renault has also highlighted how the Captur benefits from one of the lowest depreciation figures in its class, beating the MINI as well as other rivals. A Countryman loses up to £17,000, while the closest priced equivalents to the Renault typically lose anywhere between £11,000 and £14,000 over the same period. Meanwhile the Captur is forecast to lose £4,000 to £6,000 less.

Under the forecast from CAP, the Captur’s likely best-seller, Dynamique MediaNav dCi 90, is predicted to retain 42% over the same period.

The forecasts are similar for the petrol-engined versions, with the entry-level Expression model with the 0.9 TCe 90 three-cylinder turbo predicted to retain 41%.

UK managing director Ken Ramirez commented: ‘The eagerly anticipated and completely new Renault Captur will soon be in our showrooms throughout the country; expanding our brand’s presence into the rapidly expanding compact crossover class. We’re delighted that the RV providers, as well as the media and our customers, have recognised its appeal.’

The Captur range is already available to order, ahead of its official showroom launch on 1st July 2013. Prices start from £12,495 OTR.
