Pendragon Vehicle Management drives down CO2 emissions

The firm says it’s driven down emissions by almost 5% since 2013, helped by its work to advise customers on the benefits of lower-emitting cars as well as the increasing number of hybrid vehicles now available and manufacturers’ work to cut CO2 on conventional ICE engines.

Pendragon added that vehicles proving popular amongst its customers include the Peugeot 308 1.6 Blue HDi Active, which produces 82g/km of CO2, the Renault Clio Expression+ dCi 90 Eco producing emissions of 83g/km and the Volkswagen Golf 1.6TDi BlueMotion, which delivers 85g/km of CO2 emissions.

Neal Francis, divisional managing director at Pendragon Vehicle Management, said: “We’ve seen a significant decrease in the amount of CO2 our vehicles are emitting as a whole, which is a great step in the right direction as we do our bit to help enhance the world we live in. Our customers are now better educated on the benefits of choosing a lower CO2-emitting fleet, which include lower National Insurance and Benefit in Kind tax and, of course, an improved environment for us all.

“We help our customers find the right balance between performance and practicality and forecast our total emissions will fall even further given the lower level of emissions for vehicles we have on order, as the popularity of hybrid and new technologies gain in popularity as fleet vehicles.”
