Osprey opens new rapid EV charging site in Milton Keynes

Osprey Charging has installed three 75kW chargers installed at the Plough Inn in Milton Keynes, supporting local residents, businesses and visitors with EV infrastructure.

Osprey has funded the installation and operation of the chargers and also oversees maintenance

Situated next to the pub and restaurant, the chargers are an ideal place to charge an EV whilst popping in for a bite to eat.

The chargers are designed with simple payment for drivers, accept contactless bank cards, Apple/Google Pay, the Osprey App and RFID card payments, as well as payments through all major third-party payment methods, including fleet cards.

The chargers will add up to 100 miles of range in around 35 minutes of charge, depending on the vehicle and its battery.

Osprey has funded the installation and operation of the chargers, which are all supplied with renewable energy, and also oversees maintenance.

The new site bolsters the UK’s growing EV charging infrastructure while supporting local decarbonisation efforts. It also enables Wells & Co, the landlord for the site, to attract more EV drivers as customers.

Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging, said: “The electric transition is well underway and we’re here to provide a reliable and rapid public charging service for drivers, from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands.

“Each of our new locations is carefully designed to maximise space, accessibility and availability of chargers, working to the latest and highest standards. This new charging site in Milton Keynes is a vital part of the recharging network that will enable the decarbonisation of transport in the UK.”
