Nissan GB appoints Marco Capozzoli as fleet director

Nissan GB has appointed Marco Capozzoli as its new fleet director with immediate effect.

Capozzoli has worked at Nissan for nearly six years and has a broad range of leasing, finance and vehicle rental experience.

He succeeds Csaba Vincze, who has recently assumed the role of director of network development and customer quality.

Most recently, Capozzoli worked as Nissan GB’s national dealer fleet manager, taking responsibility for managing national SME business sales performance and establishing a national van sales strategy. Prior to this, he worked in various roles at VW Group Leasing, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and Hertz.

In his new role, Capozzoli will support Nissan’s accelerating plans to provide a fully electrified range of vehicles tailored to business users.

He commented: “I’d like to continue the mid-term fleet strategy with special focus on the dealer network and maximise our performance through sales channel optimisation. With a newly launched range of fantastic, electrified vehicles, including the fully electric Ariya and Townstar compact van, these are exciting times for Nissan GB.

“With our 10-year heritage in electric vehicles, we have valuable experience to help businesses that are looking to cut their carbon footprint and transition to a zero-emission fleet. I look forward to this exciting challenge and continuing to help our customers embrace the electrified era.”

Michael Auliar, sales director at Nissan GB, added: “Fleet will be a key factor in our future success, so I’m delighted to see Marco taking on this exciting new opportunity.

“He will continue to evolve our role as a trusted adviser to the UK’s vehicle fleets, both large and small, and ensure business can access advice that will facilitate their transition to a lower carbon future.”

In the last 18 months, Nissan has launched the Juke Hybrid, plus e-Power versions of the Qashqai and X-Trail, which have joined the existing fully electric Leaf and Ariya.

This year also sees the Townstar EV arrive, joining the petrol-powered version that launched in 2022 and providing a successor to the e-NV200.

It will offer a WLTP combined range of 183 miles, said to be class-leading, and a payload capacity of up to 800kg plus cargo space that’s large enough even on short wheelbase versions to carry two Euro pallets.
