Nexus hits booking milestone with Nexus Go Taxi Service

Nexus Vehicle Rental has marked a new milestone after delivering more than 1,500 bookings through its passenger taxi service, Nexus Go.

The alternative mobility solution launched in December 2021, and was created to provide another option for transporting people on shorter or one-way journeys that have become difficult to fulfil in the market due to supply challenges.

It enables customers to access an online taxi booking portal where they can book a trip, planned or on-demand. The service also provides journey progress and location updates, access to more than 3,500 taxi companies throughout the UK, and a GPS tracking facility via Google Maps.

This milestone comes at the end of another successful year for Nexus.  In addition to launching into the taxi market, it’s  also launched its new plant hire and site solutions category and continued its product innovation with Nexus Connect, a mobile application developed specifically for drivers to streamline all aspects of the rental process whilst on the move.

Yvonne Palmer, operations director at Nexus Vehicle Rental, commented: “Over the last two years we have seen a huge shift in the market with suppliers moving away from supporting shorter term hires such as one-day, one-way bookings. When we launched Nexus Go, we were looking to offer an alternative means of enabling our customers to get to where they needed to be despite the supply challenges.

“Reaching this milestone demonstrates how Nexus Go has provided an effective solution that has enabled the business to meet the needs of our customers. Our industry-leading technology, IRIS, has enabled Nexus to remain at the forefront of the market and is one of the fundamental reasons we are able to continue to deliver excellent services to our customers.”
