New tool helps drivers avoid England’s problem roads
A new online tool that shows drivers England’s most complained about roads is now live.
The website has been launched after the online parts supplier gathered council data via Freedom of Information requests to find the most complained about roads across England.
The data shows the North-West is bearing the brunt of England’s terrible tarmac, with the top three worst roads found in Lancashire, Salford and Cheshire. Cottage Lane, Lancashire topped the list of the most complained about roads in England.
The councils that spent the most on road maintenance in the last 12 months were:

A339 Newbury, West Berkshire – £1,659,000
Colliers Row, Bolton – £815,000
A118 High Row, Rebridge – £809,316
Staindrop Road, Darlington – £638,149
