New service to offer expert analysis of risk management data

Called "Telematics ROI", the approach uses professional fleet risk managers to monitor and interpret driver behaviour data so that it can be used to make on-going improvements to fleet performance. It then provides fleet managers with ready-made training modules that can be used to target specific negative behaviour among company drivers.

'We come across a lot of fleets who are not analysing or acting upon their telematics data in the best way,' said Graham Hurdle, managing director at E-Training World.

'As a result, it can become a frustration to them that they aren't getting the return on investment (ROI) that they would expect.'

However, says Mr Hurdle, it just takes a trained eye to turn the telematics information into meaningful strategies for cost reduction.

'When a qualified fleet risk manager looks at the data, it tells them a huge amount about each driver. Where they are being inefficient with fuel consumption and why. The speed and severity of vehicle wear and tear being caused and how to avoid it. The reasons why accidents are occurring – the list goes on.

'Using our service, we take that data, identify what behaviours lie behind it, and then provide short, punchy and effective 15-minute training programmes to stop it happening again.'

The E-Training World modules are provided in such a way that fleet managers can provide the training themselves, rather than incur the cost of bringing in external fleet trainers, with the training always on actual driver behaviour to ensure that it is particularly relevant.

Telematics ROI can also be combined with E-Training World's online driver risk assessments, e-driver training and consultancy to provide carefully targeted risk management.
