The research shows more than half (54%) of respondents said they’d change their job to reduce the cost of their daily commute.”

“There are numerous reasons someone may look to change jobs, from salary and promotion opportunities, to taking a new career path, seeking a new challenge or even difficulties with colleagues or bosses,” said Gary Smith, managing director, Europcar UK Group.

“We were therefore surprised to see that more than half of workers would go through all the stress, uncertainty and upheaval of applications, interviews and being the office newbie, simply to reduce the cost of commuting.  This clearly demonstrates the significant impact travel costs can have.”
