Allyson Weir and Bill Yardley from Vancouver bring with them a wealth of motor trade experience across the Atlantic.

Weir has some 25 years’ senior management experience in the trade and has been a business financial manager for much of her career – she was one of the first female sales managers for a General Motors outlet in Canada.

Meanwhile Yardley, a former chef, has worked in the motor trade for the past decade.

Weir said: “Both Bill and I are delighted to join FVL. Whilst the motor trade in Scotland is different to Canada, all the dealers, suppliers and customers have been fantastic to work with!”

Speaking on working alongside your husband, she added: “We work really well together; Bill respects my experience in the car business and I respect what a fantastic sales person he is.”

Andy Bell, manager at First Vehicle Leasing, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Allyson and Bill to the firm – Vancouver’s loss is definitely Glasgow’s gain insofar as our customers are concerned. Both bring insight and experience and are already helping us drive the business forward.”
