Last chance to sign up for this month’s VRA 2024 seminar

The “last few places” are available for the Vehicle Remarketing Association’s 2024 Seminar, which will take place on Tuesday 21 November at The Slate, Warwick University.

The event will examine a wide range of current and new issues affecting the remarketing sector

The event, which is free to attend for anyone who works in the motor industry, will explore ‘2024: The Year Ahead in Remarketing’, examining a wide range of current and new issues affecting the sector.

Speakers include Graeme Chaplin, the Bank of England’s agent for the West Midlands, on the UK’s economic outlook for next year, along with Abdul Chowdhury, head of vehicle policy at the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, on the latest developments in the EV regulatory framework.

Adrian Pepper, campaign strategist and former UK government special adviser, will speak on the 2024 general election, while Galo Paez Fajardo, assistant professor at the University on Warwick, will reveal the latest research into EV battery degradation at the Faraday Institute.

Sponsors for the event include Autochat, Cox Automotive, Startline Motor Finance, Approved Valeting, DMN Logistics, One Auto API and Geldards, while there will be stands featuring Altelium, MAG Motor Auction Group and Epyx. The event will also feature a Mental Health Zone including motor industry benevolent fund Ben, Compass and [M]enable.

Philip Nothard, chair at the VRA, said: “We’ve now had over 180 people sign up for the event and have a maximum of 200 places in the venue, so anyone who wants to come along should move quickly because we’re down to the last few places.

“There is a genuine buzz around the event, with one delegate suggesting to me that it was a ‘Financial Times quality’ speaker line-up. I think this is true. We have a wide variety of industry experts covering a range of important remarketing subjects.”
