Buying Solutions – part of the Efficiency and Reform Group within the Cabinet Office – has awarded Kia a place on the framework agreement, giving the brand a huge opportunity to reach new fleet customers.

John Hargreaves, head of fleet and eemarketing at Kia Motors, commented: 'By working closely with Buying Solutions, Kia will reach a wider fleet audience within the public sector, and will be able to offer corporate fleet loans to sector departments. Kia's participation in the Buying Solutions Framework Agreement is timely as it will give public sector fleets the chance to take advantage of our excellent value-for-money sales proposition.'

The carmaker is highlighting how its products feature a wide range of green technologies and safety features across the line-up – such as Intelligent Stop and Go, which cuts the engine and all emissions when the car is stationary, leading to reduced emissions, such as the 135g/km delivered by the new Sportage from the 1.7 CRDi engine.

Later in the year, Kia is launching a new Picanto with CO2 as low as 99g/km and the new B-segment Rio, which will be available with a 1.1 CRDi engine that offers 85g/km of CO2 and at least 88 mpg – currently the lowest CO2 and best consumption figures available on any non-hybrid or electric vehicles.
