Kia has revealed UK specifications and pricing for its new Ceed and Sportage models.

From launch, the European designed Ceed five-door hatchback will be available in the UK with a choice of seven paint finishes, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels. There are 11 versions of the Ceed, based on three engines, two transmissions and four trim lines –‘2’, ‘Blue Edition’, ‘3’, ‘First Edition’. All models are front-wheel-drive and feature a practical five-door hatchback bodystyle. This car is the first of a whole all-new family of Ceed models to be launched over the next two years and includes a raft of new safety and advanced driver assistance systems, and goes on sale in the UK from 1 August.

Revealed a couple of months ago, the new Sportage will launch with a new EcoDynamics+ 48V diesel mild-hybrid powertrain, as well as a host of Euro 6D TEMP petrol and diesel engines – including Kia’s new 1.6-litre ‘U3’ CRDi engine that replaces the outgoing 1.7-litre diesel. The upgraded model is available in 21 variants based on five engines, three gearboxes and six trim lines. There are n exterior and interior trim highlights, as well as new 16-, 17- and 19-inch alloy wheel designs. All models from grade ‘2’ have Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) to alert a tired driver. Other key equipment includes automatic light control, a driver’s manual seat height adjuster, remote central locking with foldaway key, reversing camera system and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.
