The model, which is available to order now, offers all-new premium design with world-first technologies and has been produced specifically with the European market in mind.

‘We are the biggest buyer of BMW’s and other prestige vehicles’, said the managing director of one fleet buyer, ‘but our customers want something new and inspired that is driver-friendly, energy-efficient and built to very high standards.’

These latest deliveries are being arranged with Infiniti Reading, Europe’s biggest Infiniti supplier.

A total of 10 more orders are currently being arranged with a premiership football club through Infiniti Reading, with Infiniti Reading adding that interest is intensifying as the car’s official launch draws closer.

The Q50 is the first new-generation Infiniti Q model for Europe and offers a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that emits under 115g/km CO2 with fuel consumption in 65mpg while still offering 168bhp of power and 295lb.ft of available torque. Prices start from £27,350.

The other technologically advanced engine available is sophisticated petrol V6 hybrid. The more performance biased of the two engines, it offers acceleration from 0-62mph in less than 5.5 seconds but with CO2 below 145g/km and fuel economy of around 45mpg, it will still attract low taxation.  This engine is also available with a four-wheel drive option.

The Infiniti Q50 is available to order now with deliveries expected late summer.

The model will also be present at the Fleet World Fleet Show next week and will be joined by the M hybrid and diesel and FX diesel, which will be available to drive.
