Honda has announced prices and equipment for its ZR-V hybrid SUV, one of a trio of electrified SUVs that will launch in Europe this year.

The ZR-V opens for orders from 4 July 2023

Revealed last month along with the sixth-generation CR-V and the all-new and fully electric e:Ny1, the Nissan Qashqai rival opens for orders from 4 July 2023, priced from £39,495 and available in three trims.

Positioned between the HR-V compact crossover and the revamped and larger hybrid/PHEV CR-V, it’s aimed at young, image-conscious buyers “who seek a stylish, powerful and fun to drive vehicle that can seamlessly integrate into their life”.

It’s based on the Civic and also shares the same e:HEV hybrid powertrain, optimised for the ZR-V and using a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder direct-injection Atkinson cycle petrol engine in conjunction with two motors. As with the Civic, this delivers 184hp of power, giving a 0-62mph time of 7.9 seconds and a 107mph top speed. CO2 emissions start from 131g/km, and fuel economy from 48.7mpg.

Trims span Elegance, Sport and Advance grades. Entry-level Elegance models come with 18-inch grey alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, 11 airbags, a rear-view camera, and an eight-speaker audio system.

A nine-inch touchscreen display is available across the range, complete with Honda Connect, navigation, and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto compatibility, alongside a seven-inch digital instrument display behind the leather steering wheel.

The Sport grade is priced from £41,095 and adds in bespoke styling for the front bumper and grille, gloss black mirrors and window trim, matte black wheels, and a fabric and synthetic leather combination interior trim. Sports pedals, ambient LED lighting, hands-free power tailgate, wireless charging, and additional USB ports are also standard.

Range-topping Advance models start from £42,895 and come with full leather seats with perforated inserts and silver stitching, a heated leather steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, and gloss black and diamond cut alloys. They also get a 12-speaker Bose sound system, 10.2-inch multi-information display, and an all-new six-inch head-up display.
