Gofor secures Penderyn Distillery EV salary sacrifice deal

Penderyn Distillery has signed up fleet management firm Gofor to manage a new electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme, driving its net zero aims.

Penderyn Distillery said the creation of the new sal-sac scheme was the logical next step to encourage more employees into EVs

The business, which recently installed free on-site electric vehicle charging for its staff, has already taken delivery of the first electric vehicles from Gofor.

Chief executive Stephen David commented: “We are committed to encouraging green driving but providing electric charging is only the first step. This salary sacrifice scheme means all our employees can not only personally benefit but help us deliver on our net zero ambition.”

Edinburgh-based Gofor, which recently rebranded from Gofor Finance to better reflect its full end-to-end fleet management service, designed the scheme to suit Penderyn’s specific objectives. The scheme makes the switch to electric as simple and affordable as possible and remove any early termination risk through vehicle reallocation support.

Graham Lesslie, managing director of Gofor, commented: “We are delighted to be partnering with Penderyn as they move towards a decarbonised fleet. We’ll be working closely with the team to ensure the scheme is fully embedded to encourage further employees to make the switch to an electric vehicle. Salary sacrifice is such a great way of getting an EV at an affordable price. We’re seeing very high demand for the scheme right now.”
