Fleetcor UK invests in expanded sales team
Appointed to lead the sales operation is Tony Murtagh. Prior to joining Fleetcor UK, Tony worked at Lloyds Bank & Lex Autolease for over 17 years, where he held a number of director and sales leadership roles. He was instrumental in the turnaround of the broker business from 2009 to 2013 as well as growing the Lex SME Direct business by 64% year on year in 2014.
Stuart Miles, who worked with Mr Murtagh at Lex and has also held senior positions at Leaseplan, has been appointed as Fleetcor’s new sales director for its partner and corporate business. Finally, after heading up the sales operation at CMS Supatrak for the last three years, Alex Harper has also returned to Fleetcor UK as head of corporate sales, having previously spent 20 years as sales and marketing director at Keyfuels.
In addition to these three senior appointments, the company has also invested in expanding its sales force by almost 50 per cent this year. The business now has a team of over 90 sales people, improving its service offering across its brands and with Fleetcor partner and corporate customers.
Katie Beck
Katie joined Fleet World in 2012 as an editorial intern, following the completion of an English and American Literature BA from the University of East Anglia. She accepted a full-time position as an editorial assistant at the end of the internship period, and was promoted to the role of features editor in 2014. She works across the magazine and website portfolio, and administrates the social media channels.
