In his new role, Mr Donnelly, who has been with the fleet management specialist for the last four years, will be responsible for all operations and commercial activities in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and will be based at Fleet Logistics' regional head office in Malmo, Sweden.

Fleet Logistics manages around 5,000 cars on behalf of international corporate customers across the region, a small but growing proportion of its total portfolio of over 80,000 vehicles, and has plans to double the Nordic fleet within as short a time frame as possible.

Mr Donnelly replaces Ulf Wirkland, previous regional head who has left the business, and has already made two new appointments, with promotions for Elisabeth Ivarsson and Katharina Muller who take joint responsibility for managing operations in all four countries.

Ms Ivarsson becomes head of operations, customer service and vehicle management and Ms Muller is appointed head of operations, fleet accounting and reporting, reporting to Mr Donnelly.

At the same time, new offices will be opened in the Finnish capital, Helsinki, to support large international customers in that country.

Fleet Logistics' CEO Peter Soliman said: 'We see considerable growth opportunities within the four main countries of the Nordic region, where there are some large multi-national organisations domiciled in the region.

'We believe that a new management team, led with energy and determination by Stuart, will have the capability to achieve and deliver on our expansion plans for the region and for the business as a whole, and we wish him all possible success.'
