Fleet experts to discuss tax, mobility and driver mental health at Great British Fleet Event

Fleet industry experts, including from ACFO and ALD, are to cover vital issues such as cutting tax costs and getting to grips with mobility at next week’s Great British Fleet Event.

The Future of Fleet Management Masterclass is one of four information-packed sessions taking place in the Conference programme

The talks form part of the Future of Fleet Management Masterclass being held as part of the wide-ranging conference programme at the Great British Fleet Event – which takes place at the Novotel London West next Thursday 24th January 2019.

Chaired by ACFO, the Masterclass will see Caroline Sandall, deputy chairwoman at ACFO – who has more than 23 years’ fleet management experience including at Barclays – look at how to cut costs amid ongoing tax uncertainty.

The session will also feature an indepth look at smarter travel from Matt Dale, head of consultancy, ALD Automotive. This includes exploring travel plans for fleets, and why consumer expectations are shaping the ‘Mobility as a Service’ era for fleets.

Mobility will also come under focus from Carl Pittam, development director at Ubeeqo, part of the Europcar Mobility Group, whose talk will focus on understanding the changing world of mobility, and the shifting role of the company car.

Changes within repair and refurbishment trends will also come under the spotlight as part of the Future of Fleet Management Masterclass, as Theo Kortland, MD, Smart Fleet Solutions, outlines the new technologies changing how vehicles are repaired during de-fleet, and what fleets can learn from the latest trends.

Finally, Rachel Clift, health and wellbeing director, Ben – Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund, will look at the relationship between mental health, wellbeing and employee engagement; managing and responding to mental health in the workplace.

The Future of Fleet Management Masterclass promises to bring essential insights for those with responsibility for fleet and mobility management and will be joined by an Urban Fleet Masterclass (see more details here) and an Electric Vehicle Masterclass (further details here) while a Technology Masterclass will spotlight the latest developments for fleets in this sector too.

The Great British Fleet Event will also provide visitors with networking opportunities and the chance to see some of the latest fleet suppliers in action while awards after lunch will recognise the crème de la crème of the fleet industry’s managers, suppliers and the leading cars and vans.
