Fleet Assist appoints Karen Ewer as operations director

Fleet Assist has promoted Karen Ewer to the newly created position of operations director.

Ewer was most recently head of business development at Fleet Assist and has worked at the Huntingdon HQ for the last 13 years, making her one of the company’s longest-serving colleagues.

She has played a major part in Fleet Assist’s customer growth in 2023, which saw it rise from 40 to 48 leasing, rental and salary sacrifice fleet. The company provides a range of service, maintenance and repair (SMR) services to 1.2 million customer drivers.

2023 was Fleet Assist’s 20th anniversary year, which also saw it generate a record SMR spend of more than £200m across its network.

Fleet Assist MD Vincent St Claire commented: “Karen’s unwavering loyalty and support to customers and Fleet Assist, coupled with her in-depth knowledge of our systems and processes, makes her an ideal candidate for this new role.”

Ewer’s previous business development role is being headed up by Joanna Cooper on an interim basis.
